This year, for all the obvious reasons, the Mayo Pink Ribbon Cycle cannot happen. But women are still being diagnosed with and treated for breast cancer and the need to raise funds in support of cancer research remains. The Pink Ribbon Sessions is a virtual concert that will take place this Saturday, May 2nd on the Mayo Pink Ribbon Facebook Page starting at 7 pm and running for 3+ hours. It will feature performances from: Daniel O’Donnell, Seán Keane, Matt Molloy, Liam Ó Maonlaí, Patrick Bergin, Michael English, David Agnew, Coda, Seamus Fogarty, Mike Hanrahan and many more local artists and bands plus surprise contributions from some very well-known faces.
This year and every year, the money raised by Mayo Pink Ribbon supports the National Breast Cancer Research Institute funded team at the Lambe Institute UCH Galway, led by Prof. Michael Keirn.
We hope that the event will give all loyal and new supporters an opportunity to contribute to crucial research whilst enjoying a great night’s entertainment from the comfort (and confinement!) of their own homes.
Please join us on Saturday and please, please give what you can.
