Inspired by her consultant, Dr Carmel Malone, who completed in the London Marathon for Breast Cancer Research in April, Christina Giles has decided to take part in the Galway Bay Run just months after battling breast cancer.
Chris and a group of friends and family formed “Team Chris” to raise funds and awareness for Breast Cancer Research, in a hope that less women will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer Research in the future.
Breast Cancer Consultant, Carmel Malone and her husband, Garrett Phillips took part in the London Marathon in April 2015 to support Breast Cancer Research
The vision of the charity is to support research that will have a real and measurable impact on outcomes for breast cancer patients.
The team of over 25 ladies are taking part in the 10 kilometre run and half marathon on Sunday 3, October 2015.
We are so grateful to Chris and her wonderful team who have raised over €500 for Breast Cancer Research to date.
