In Ireland, 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer during their lifetime. Research has and will continue to improve the diagnosis, treatment options, and outcomes for those who develop the disease.

Breast Cancer Research funds a comprehensive research programme at the National University of Ireland, Galway. In collaboration with universities and hospitals across the globe, the breast cancer research team at the Lambe Institute for Translational Research at NUI Galway focuses on areas including personalised medicine, breast regeneration, and innovative diagnostics and therapeutics.
