A Galway based business has come up with an innovative way to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research. On March 8th you’ll be able to purchase a beautiful  from Cloon Keen Atelier while supporting the cause. Not only that, you can ‘Pay What You Want’ for it.

Queen of scent, Maggie Mangan, owner of Cloon Keen Atelier, Ireland’s premier perfumery, is the one behind the fundraising initiative. It’s based on the pay-what-you-want (PWYW) business model, where customers pay what they feel a product or service is worth, or what the purchase can achieve, in this case supporting breast cancer research.

Monies raised on the day will go to Galway-based charity, Breast Cancer Research who fund a comprehensive breast cancer research programme at the Lambe Institute for Translation Research at NUI Galway.

Speaking about the fundraiser, Maggie said: “We are so excited to help raise funds for Breast Cancer Research on International Women’s Day! It’s a great opportunity for our customers to purchase a Mother’s Day candle and know that their gift will be going directly to a wonderful organisation supporting breast cancer research in Ireland.”

If you or a loved one has been affected by Breast Cancer, why not show your support with a Cloon Keen candle for Mother’s day. The breast cancer research fundraiser will take place at Cloon Keen’s Galway store in High Street in Galway’s Latin Quarter from 10am – 6pm on March 8th while stocks last.
