Photo Tom Taheny \nThe annual Breast Cancer Research Pink Afternoon at The Lodge at Ashford Castle takes place on Friday\, June 16th at 12pm. \nThe hugely popular event overlooking Lisloughrey Quay is the perfect way to connect with the important women in your life while supporting Breast Cancer Research (formerly NBCRI). \nThe afternoon will begin with a sparkling drinks reception followed by a three-course lunch with guest speaker Dr. Orla Smithwick. We will also have a fundraising auction hosted by Ollie Turner and live music afterwards. \nA milliner showcase will feature headpieces by Majella Dalton of Crevation Design\, Gillian Duggan Designs\, Brid O’Driscoll Millinery\, Mary White Millinery and Andrea Tighe of Tí Tighe. There will also be a “Milliner’s Choice” Competition on the day – each milliner will select a lady of their choice and the winner will receive a once off head piece\, just in time for the Galway Races. \nTickets for the Pink Afternoon are €70 per person.
