Christine Costelloe Appointed as Development Director of Breast Cancer Research

Christine Costelloe Headshot 3Christine Costelloe, a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), brings extensive experience to Breast Cancer Research from both the nonprofit and corporate sectors. Prior to joining Breast Cancer Research, Christine held development roles with nonprofit organisations in the San Francisco Bay Area, including breast cancer charities focused on patient support, early detection for underserved women, public education, and policy advocacy.

Christine’s passion for improving outcomes for breast cancer patients began after losing her mother to breast cancer treatment in 2009. “When I learned about the incredible research being done at NUI Galway and how it is positively informing the way patients are being treated for breast cancer, I felt compelled to join the organisation.”

The Chairperson of Breast Cancer Research, Helen Ryan, says “We are delighted to have Christine join us, her passion for the cause and her expertise in the sector will be hugely beneficial as we strive to deliver on our vision.”

Christine holds a Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Certificate in Fund Raising, and Certificate in Nonprofit Management.
