Signs & Symptoms

There are a number of common breast cancer signs and symptoms that you should be aware of, such as:

  • A lump or thickness of the breast
  • A change in the size or shape of the breast
  • A change in the skin – dimpling, puckering, redness or “orange peel”
  • A change in the skin around the nipple – rash, flaky skin or crusted skin
  • Pain in one or both breasts (or under arms)
  • A change in the direction or shape of the nipple (e.g. nipple inversion)
  • Discharge from one or both nipples
  • Swelling in your armpit or around the collarbone area
If you are concerned or have any changes in your breast that are not normal for you please visit your GP for a check-up immediately.
