We invite you to gather with your friends, family, neighbours, classmates or work colleagues to host an event on January 6, Nollaig na mBan (Women’s Little Christmas) to raise awareness and funds for vital breast cancer research.
Nollaig na mBan is an historic Irish tradition celebrated each year on January 6. Participating in our campaign is an opportunity to celebrate the contribution of women in your life while also positively impacting the future for women.
Funds raised through the campaign will support research in the areas of personalised medicine, breast regeneration, and innovative diagnostics and therapeutics currently being conducted by the breast cancer research team at the Lambe Institute for Translational Research at NUI Galway.
Christine Costelloe, Development Director encourages supporters to get involved and is looking forward to the upcoming campaign: “I was delighted to learn about this special Irish tradition to honour the contribution of women. I recently moved to Ireland from America to raise funds for research that will improve outcomes for the 1 in 10 women in Ireland who will develop breast cancer. I’m looking forward to celebrating Nollaig na mBan for the first time with our supporters and ask others to join us by getting their communities involved in the campaign.”
Visit the Nollaig na mBan campaign page to register for a fundraising pack.
