FUNDRAISING & COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR – MATERNITY COVER
The National Breast Cancer Research Institute (trading as Breast Cancer Research) is seeking to recruit Maternity Cover for the charities fundraising and communications coordinator based at its Galway headquarters with a work remit covering all of Ireland. Breast Cancer Research, a national charity, raises funds in support of world class research, based at the Lambe Institute, National University of Ireland, Galway.
The role is a 6 month fixed term contract for Maternity Leave cover from May 2018. The Fundraising and Communication Coordinator will work closely with the board to build fundraising and communications strategy across the charity. The focus of the role will be to secure new supporters and volunteers and build on existing relationships in order to generate income, develop loyalty, and raise awareness for the charity.
The successful candidate will work closely with a committed board of volunteers and will be expected to provide support to a network of organisations and groups who assist the charity in raising funds. Flexibility in working hours is necessary.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:
- Excellent communications skills.
- The ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Be a self starter with an entrepreneurial attitude towards fundraising.
- Experience in generating new revenue sources.
- A proven ability to meet financial targets.
- A deeply held conviction and empathy for the cause.
